4th Annual Hartford HealthCare Heart and Vascular Institute Electrophysiology (EP) Conference

This symposium will provide updates on the latest advances in electrophysiology, including atrial fibrillation management, left atrial appendage occlusion, autonomic dysfunction, remote monitoring, cardiac implantable electronic device infections, lead management, inherited arrhythmia syndromes, cardiac contractility modulation, conduction system pacing, and ventricular tachycardia. Through expert-led presentations and case-based discussions, participants will gain practical insights into emerging technologies, evidence-based management strategies, and evolving approaches to improve outcomes for patients with complex cardiac rhythm disorders.

1. Identify emerging advances in cardiac electrophysiology and apply evidence-based approaches to the diagnosis and management of complex arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and autonomic dysfunction.
2. Discuss current and emerging electrophysiology technologies and procedures, including left atrial appendage occlusion, conduction system pacing, cardiac contractility modulation, and catheter-based therapies, to optimize patient outcomes
3. Explore best practices for the management of cardiac implantable electronic devices, including remote monitoring strategies, infection prevention and treatment, and lead management.
4. Review Interpret the clinical implications of genetic and inherited cardiovascular conditions and incorporate appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic considerations into patient-centered care plans.
5. Review contemporary guideline-directed and evidence-based treatment strategies for patients with cardiac rhythm disorders to improve quality of care, clinical outcomes, and healthcare resource utilization.
6. Collaborate effectively within interprofessional cardiovascular care teams to address complex electrophysiology patient needs, enhance care coordination, and support safe transitions across the continuum of care

  • MOC for American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM):  Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 6.75 MOC point in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
  • MOC for American Board of Surgery (ABS):  Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the Accredited CME and and Self-Assessment requirements of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.
• Nurses: This activity is designated for a maximum of 6.75 ANCC contact hours.
• Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Participation for 6.75 hours of education.  Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 5 business days before the course will receive a full refund.  No refunds will be made for cancellations received after that date.  All refunds will be made in accordance with the procedures of the HHC Accounts Payable Department, and may take up to 60 days.  Please send cancellation requests to continuinged@hhchealth.org.
