8th Annual Hartford HealthCare Pharmaceutical Symposium for Advanced Practitioners

Pharmaceutical education directed towards the specific needs of the advanced practice team.

1. Optimize medication therapy through appropriate prescribing, dosing adjustments, monitoring, and management of adverse effects in diverse patient populations.
2. Integrate emerging evidence and best practices related to antimicrobial resistance, opioid withdrawal, heart failure, dementia, kidney disease, and acute behavioral health conditions into clinical decision-making.
3. Promote medication safety and quality care through effective collaboration with pharmacists and other members of the interprofessional healthcare team.
4. Apply current evidence and guidelines to the pharmacologic management of cardiovascular, infectious, neurologic, psychiatric, and substance use disorders

In support of improving patient care, Hartford HealthCare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

• Physicians: Hartford HealthCare designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 7.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
• Nurses: This activity is designated for a maximum of 7.00 ANCC contact hours.
• Pharmacists & Pharmacy Techs: This activity is approved for 7.00 CPE contact hours. ACPE UAN: # Pending. Awarding of credit is based on completing an activity evaluation form.
• All Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Participation for 7.00 hours of education. Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 5 business days before the course will receive a full refund.  No refunds will be made for cancellations received after that date.  All refunds will be made in accordance with the procedures of the HHC Accounts Payable Department, and may take up to 60 days.  Please send cancellation requests to continuinged@hhchealth.org.

Hartford HealthCare reserves the right to cancel or postpone this program if necessary; in the event of cancellation, course fees will be fully refunded. We are not responsible for other costs incurred such as non-refundable airline tickets or hotel penalties.
