Overview

Delivering Excellence: Essential Training for HHC Central Region OB Nurses Workshop Series, In-person workshop to:

  1. Develop a foundation of evidence-based knowledge that can be readily translated to practice at the bedside

  2. Provide a specialty- specific complement to the HHC Vizient Nurse Residency Program for graduate nurses and a transition program for new to OB specialty RNs.

  3. Translate critical thinking skills, effective communication, and prioritization from workshop activities to the bedside


Objectives
As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Increase confidence in critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills by end of workshop series.
  2. Integrate learned topics, resources, and evidenced-based practice readily to the bedside following workshop.
  3. Interpret fetal heart rate monitoring patterns and uterine activity to assist in identification of the fetal well being
  4. Correlate nursing and medical interventions to maternal, fetal, and/or newborn pysiology.

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Hartford HealthCare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team

  • Nurses: This activity is designated for a maximum of 5.00 ANCC contact hours.

  • All Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Participation for a maximum of 5.00 hours of education.
