Objectives
As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. identify current guidelines in order to provide optimal care for bariatric patients
  2. review current cases in order to apply the latest evidence-based recommendations for treatment
  3. discuss trends and results of treatment in order to determine guidelines and protocols for bariatric patients.
  4. identify opportunities for additional education, multi-specialty collaboration, and quality improvement

In support of improving patient care, Hartford HealthCare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
  • Physicians: Hartford HealthCare designates this Live Activity activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.  
    • MOC for American Board of Internal Medicine:  Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1.00  Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
    • MOC for American Board of Surgery:  Successful completion of this CME activity , which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME and Self-Assessment requirement(s) of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.
  • Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Participation for 1.00 hours of education .  Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.
 

 



Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 5 business days before the course will receive a full refund.  No refunds will be made for cancellations received after that date.  All refunds will be made in accordance with the procedures of the HHC Accounts Payable Department, and may take up to 60 days.  Please send cancellation requests to continuinged@hhchealth.org.
