Objectives
As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

  2. Support implementation of standard work and best practices
  3. Enhance experience, safety, and quality

Credits
AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), ABIM MOC Part 2 (1.00 hours), ABS CC (1.00 hours), ABS CC SAM (1.00 hours), CT DPH: Opioid Prescribing and Pain Management (1.00 hours), DEA MATE Education (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (credits designated as AMA PRA Category 1) (1.00 hours)

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Hartford HealthCare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

  • Physicians: Hartford HealthCare designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
    • ABIM MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1.00 Medical Knowledge credits in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.  It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
    • ABS Continuous Certification: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME and Self-Assessment requirements of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program.  It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.
  • All Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Participation for 1.00 hours of education.  Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.

Cancellations received in writing no less than 5 business days before the course will receive a full refund.  No refunds will be made for cancellations received after that date.  All refunds will be made in accordance with the procedures of the HHC Accounts Payable Department, and may take up to 60 days.  Please send cancellation requests to continuinged@hhchealth.org.
