Objectives
As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Describe ketamine pharmacology including indications, contraindications, adverse reactions, and dosing
  2. Describe when to administer ketamine versus more traditional agents for sedation and for analgesia
  3. Describe ways to reduce risk associated with ketamine and how to treat adverse reactions
