HHC Interprofessional Ethics Rounds (2022-2023)

Occurs every 3 months on the 3rd Wednesday starting on 11/16/2022 at 12:00 PM

1. Identify a conflict at the confluence of medicine and morality in caring for patients.
2. Discuss the ethical principles pertinent to the internal conflict that may arise when caring for patients,
3. Apply ethical principles in an attempted resolution of the ethical concerns when caring for patients.

Ethics Rounds is facilitated by the Clinical Leaders of the Ethics Council of Hartford Healthcare. One patient will be presented by members of the clinical team. Issues of moral relevance will be identified using an ethical analysis method, e.g., narrative ethics, pragmatism. Those attending will have the opportunity to express their views, values, and responses to the clinical moral challenge.

• Physicians: Hartford HealthCare designates this Live Activity activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.  
• Nurses: This activity is designated for a maximum of 1.00 ANCC contact hours.
• Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Participation for 1.00 hours of education .  Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 5 business days before the course will receive a full refund.  No refunds will be made for cancellations received after that date.  All refunds will be made in accordance with the procedures of the HHC Accounts Payable Department, and may take up to 60 days.  Please send cancellation requests to [email protected]hhchealth.org.

Hartford HealthCare reserves the right to cancel or postpone this program if necessary; in the event of cancellation, course fees will be fully refunded. We are not responsible for other costs incurred such as non-refundable airline tickets or hotel penalties.
