Overview
The aim is to empower individuals with knowledge that can enhance their athletic performance, reduce injuries and improve overall well-being. This conference is specifically designed to address the unique challenges faced by female athletes, coaches, and parents.

Objectives
As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Explain the unique challenges faced by female athletes, coaches and parents.
  2. Interpret clinically relevant testing protocols and their indications of injury risks for ACL.
  3. Discriminate behaviors and diagnoses affiliated with relative energy deficiency in sport.

In support of improving patient care, Hartford HealthCare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

  • Physicians: Hartford HealthCare designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 5.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
    •  Maintenance of Certification (MOC)/ Continuous Certification (CC): Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 5.50 credits for the following Boards

  • Psychologists: Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs. This activity is approved for a maximum of 5.50 APA CEP credits.
  • Nurses: This activity is designated for a maximum of 5.50 ANCC contact hours.
  • Athletic Trainers: Hartford HealthCare (BOC AP#: P12155) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers (ATs). This program is eligible for a maximum of 5.50 Category A hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.
  • Registered Dietitians and Dietetic Technicians, Registered: Completion of this RD/DTR profession-specific or IPCE activity awards CPEUs (One IPCE credit = One CPEU). If the activity is dietetics-related but not targeted to RDs or DTRs, CPEUs may be claimed which are commensurate with participation in contact hours (One 60 minute hour = 1 CPEU). RD's and DTRs are to select activity type 102 in their Activity Log. Performance Indicator selection is at the learner's discretion. This activity is approved for a maximum of 5.50 CPEUs.
  • All Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Participation for a maximum of 5.50 hours of education. Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.

Cancellations received in writing no less than 5 business days before the course will receive a full refund.  No refunds will be made for cancellations received after that date.  All refunds will be made in accordance with the procedures of the HHC Accounts Payable Department, and may take up to 60 days.  Please send cancellation requests to continuinged@hhchealth.org.
