  • Physicians: Hartford HealthCare designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Overview
An innovative multi-disciplinary discussion to approach delivering healthcare through the continuum of men specifically. Per the National Center for Health Statistics, Men are 1.4 times as likely as women to die from almost every chronic medical condition, and, on average, live five years less than women. Yet, men are known as reluctant to make and keep doctor’s appointments. Tailoring healthcare services specifically to the unique physical and emotional needs of men can help move them from underserved to happy and healthy consumers.


Objectives
As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Provide rationale for a new approach to delivering healthcare specifically to men (e.g., social, emotional and cultural access barriers).
  2. Apply innovative multidisciplinary and clinically integrated model/approach to managing men’s health.
  3. Review cases/scenarios demonstrating the impact/value of a clinically integrated team.

Cancellations received in writing no less than 5 business days before the course will receive a full refund.  No refunds will be made for cancellations received after that date.  All refunds will be made in accordance with the procedures of the HHC Accounts Payable Department, and may take up to 60 days.  Please send cancellation requests to continuinged@hhchealth.org.
