Objectives
As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. analyze current research investigating diagnosis and treatment of patients
  2. discuss implications and opportunities suggested in published studies for patient treatment.
  3. implement current best practice guidelines when coordinating patient care.

Overview

Dependent on month, this series will be either a Journal Club or an Educational Conference.  Article and moderated discussion or specific didactic topic as chosen by surgery and critical care leadership that are reflective of current staff and patient needs. Journal articles chosen and moderated by fellows.


Accreditation
In support of improving patient care, Hartford HealthCare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
  • Physicians: Hartford HealthCare designates this Journal-based CME activity and Live Activity activity for a maximum of 0.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.  
  • Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Participation for 0.75 hours of education .  Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.
