Join us for a maternal mental health conference designed for healthcare professionals who care for pregnant, postpartum, and parenting families. This event will bring together nurses, providers, midwives, lactation professionals, doulas, and community partners to strengthen knowledge, improve collaboration, and support compassionate, evidence-based care. Subject matter experts, a panel discussion and more.

Objectives
As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Identify common maternal mental health conditions, including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, birth trauma, and psychosocial stressors.
  2. Demonstrate respectful, culturally responsive approaches to supporting patients experiencing maternal mental health challenges.
  3. Recognize warning signs that require urgent escalation, including safety concerns, suicidal ideation, psychosis, intimate partner violence, or inability to care for self or infant.

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Hartford HealthCare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physicians: Hartford HealthCare designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 3.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

  • ABIM MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 3.00 Medical Knowledge credits in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

  • ABP MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn up to 3.00 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics' (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.

Nurses: This activity is designated for a maximum of 3.00 ANCC contact hours.

Psychologists: Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs. This activity is designated for a maximum of 3.00 APA CEP credits. 

Social Workers: As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Hartford HealthCare is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.  Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit.  Hartford HealthCare maintains responsibility for this course.  Social workers completing this course receive a maximum of 3.00 clinical continuing education credits.

Interprofessional Continuing Education: This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 3.00 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credit for learning and change.

All Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Participation for a maximum of 3.00 hours of education. Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of credits certified by an organization accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • HHC or the sponsoring organization reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify this activity
  • If the activity is cancelled, registration fees will be fully refunded
  • Neither HHC, HHC CE, not the Sponsoring Organization is responsible for travel, lodging, or other incurred expenses due to a cancelled activity
  • All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to HHC CE at [email protected]
  • Approved refunds will be processed to the original form of payment within 30 days

  • Cancellations received at least 5 business days prior to the activity start date will receive a full refund
