Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS (02.25)

FCCS is a 2 day course with a target audience consisting of Advanced Practice Providers, critical care nurses, and respiratory therapists.  Lecture and skill stations/simulation training provide health professionals, including the nonintensivists, with the training to manage critically ill patients for the first 24 hours or until appropriate critical care consultation can be arranged.  The course concentrates on adult critical care but also includes separate sections on critical care for pregnancy and surgical patients.

In support of improving patient care, Hartford HealthCare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. Physicians: Hartford HealthCare designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 13.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. ABS Continuous Certification: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME and Self-Assessment requirements of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit. Nurses: This activity is designated for a maximum of 13.25 ANCC contact hours. All Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Participation for 13.25 hours of education .  Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 5 business days before the course will receive a full refund.  No refunds will be made for cancellations received after that date.  All refunds will be made in accordance with the procedures of the HHC Accounts Payable Department, and may take up to 60 days.  Please send cancellation requests to continuinged@hhchealth.org.
