In-person Instructions
Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 8:00am in the ERC- Heublein Hall located at 560 Hudson St. Hartford, CT 06106.

HHC Employee Parking/Shuttle instructions:
Parking is available at the Institute of Living- Golf Lot (click here for map) located at 200 Retreat Ave. Hartford, CT 06106, with shuttle services to the ERC.  Please park in your otherwise assigned area if that is not the Golf Lot.

Guest parking instructions (Non-HHC Employees):
There are a very limited number of parking spots located at the Hartford Hospital Employee (Hudson) Garage located at 510 Hudson St. Hartford, CT 06106. When you pull in you can activate the intercom by pressing the silver button underneath the card reader and let the officer know you are here for the World Suicide Prevention Day Conference at the ERC. From the Hudson St. garage, the ERC Building (also known as the Hartford Hospital Health Science Libraries; 560 Hudson St. Hartford, CT 06106) is a short walk. It is located on the corner of Hudson and Jefferson. If parking runs out in the garage there is some street parking available and you can refer to the HHC Employee parking/shuttle instructions for the IOL Golf Lot option.

In order to fully understand the patient and family experience, healthcare providers need to hear patient and family stories. Join us for our 12th Annual World Suicide Prevention Day Conference focused on multiple pathways to healing. The event will consist of a keynote speaker followed by panel of lived experience.

Objectives
As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Review current status of the HHC Zero Suicide Initiative
  2. Discuss recommended approaches to working with individuals who have experienced significant mental health challenges
  3. Examine real life stories of significant mental health challenges
  4. Explore the sources for hope and recovery that exist in each storyteller’s life
  5. Identify ways to continue to support those who have experienced significant mental health challenges

In support of improving patient care, Hartford HealthCare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
  • Physicians: Hartford HealthCare designates this Live Activity activity for a maximum of 3.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 
    • MOC for American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM): Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 3.50 MOC point(s) in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
