1. review current best practice recommendations in a variety of topics determined by the CT Department of Public Health for physician and APRN license renewal
2. Discuss the current impact of NCDs on healthcare, including cost, prevalence, and morbidity and mortality rates.
3. Describe current and evolving standards of care for patients with NCDs
4. Apply presented strategies to screen and assess patients for NCDs

Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
  • ABOHNS Continuing Certification: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn their required annual Part II self-assessment credit in the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery’s Continuing Certification program (formerly known as MOC).   • ABS Continuous Certification: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME and Self-Assessment requirements of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.
  • ABTS Continuing Certification: Successful completion of this CME activity , which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME and Self-Assessment of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery’s Maintenance of Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABTS credit.
• Nurses: This activity is designated for a maximum of 1.00 ANCC contact hours.
• Social Workers: As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Hartford HealthCare is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.  Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit.  Hartford HealthCare maintains responsibility for this course.  Social workers completing this course receive a maximum of 1.00 general continuing education credits.
• All Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Participation for a maximum of 1.00 hours of education. Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.

 

                                             

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 5 business days before the course will receive a full refund.  No refunds will be made for cancellations received after that date.  All refunds will be made in accordance with the procedures of the HHC Accounts Payable Department, and may take up to 60 days.  Please send cancellation requests to continuinged@hhchealth.org.
