  2. Manage common cardiac conditions
  3. Determine when in patient management that an assessment by a cardiologist is needed
  4. Review the use of Point of Care Ultrasound in the diagnosis and management of patients


AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (3.50 hours), ABIM MOC Part 2 (3.50 hours), ANCC Contact Hour(s) (3.50 hours), Cardiovascular Education (3.50 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (credits designated as AMA PRA Category 1) (2.75 hours)

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Hartford HealthCare and the Connecticut Chapter of American College of Cardiology.  Hartford HealthCare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

  • Physicians: Hartford HealthCare designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 3.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
    • ABIM MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 3.50 Medical Knowledge credits in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.  Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.  It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
  • Nurses: This activity is designated for a maximum of 3.50 ANCC contact hours.
  • All Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Participation for 3.50 hours of education .  Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.

  



Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 5 business days before the course will receive a full refund.  No refunds will be made for cancellations received after that date.  All refunds will be made in accordance with the procedures of the HHC Accounts Payable Department, and may take up to 60 days.  Please send cancellation requests to continuinged@hhchealth.org.
