SVMC Medical Grand Rounds (2022)

Weekly Grand Rounds for the Department of Medicine on a variety of topics. Medical specialty topics rotate throughout the year, and includes a monthly case presentation by the resident staff.

1. describe the current state of specific clinical syndrome based on evidence
2. identify the current developments in diagnostic criteria and modalities for topics based on evidence..
3. support quality outcomes with emphasis on high value care and patient safety.
4. apply current recommendations from the FDA, CDC, and other professional societies for therapeutic management of specific clinical entity.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), ABIM MOC Part 2 (1.00 hours), CT DPH: Cultural Competence (1.00 hours), CT DPH: Infectious Disease (including HIV) (1.00 hours), CT DPH: Intimate Partner Violence (0.00 hours), CT DPH: Opioid Prescribing and Pain Management (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (credits designated as AMA PRA Category 1) (1.00 hours), Pharmacology Education (1.00 hours)

In support of improving patient care, Hartford HealthCare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

• HHC or the sponsoring organization reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify this activity
• If the activity is cancelled, registration fees will be fully refunded
• Neither HHC, HHC CE, not the Sponsoring Organization is responsible for travel, lodging, or other incurred expenses due to a cancelled activity
• All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to HHC CE at [email protected]
• Approved refunds will be processed to the original form of payment within 30 days 

 Live (In Person or Virtual) Activity Cancellations

• Cancellations received at least 5 business days prior to the activity start date will receive a full refund
• Cancellations received less than 5 business days prior to the activity start date, or failure to attend the activity absent an illness or family emergency (no-show), are non-refundable 

 On-Demand / Enduring Activities

• Registration fees are non-refundable once access is granted
• Technical issues accessing an HHC CE activity must be reported to HHC CE @ [email protected]
• Do not contact the HHC IT Help Desk with activity access issues as this will create a delay in access
