Journal clubs are a well established method to facilitate interactive peer review and critical thinking in clinical evidence-based medical education.

1. Analyze current research investigating the care and outcomes of patients
2. Discuss implications of published studies for clinical practice
3. Implement current best practice clinical guidelines in coordination of patient care

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (credits designated as AMA PRA Category 1) (1.00 hours)

In support of improving patient care, Hartford HealthCare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

• HHC or the sponsoring organization reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify this activity
• If the activity is cancelled, registration fees will be fully refunded
• Neither HHC, HHC CE, not the Sponsoring Organization is responsible for travel, lodging, or other incurred expenses due to a cancelled activity
• All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to HHC CE at [email protected]
• Approved refunds will be processed to the original form of payment within 30 days 

 Live (In Person or Virtual) Activity Cancellations

• Cancellations received at least 5 business days prior to the activity start date will receive a full refund
• Cancellations received less than 5 business days prior to the activity start date, or failure to attend the activity absent an illness or family emergency (no-show), are non-refundable 

 On-Demand / Enduring Activities

• Registration fees are non-refundable once access is granted
• Technical issues accessing an HHC CE activity must be reported to HHC CE @ [email protected]
• Do not contact the HHC IT Help Desk with activity access issues as this will create a delay in access
