This is a multi-topic symposium regarding the variety of medical and surgical conditions which involve vascular surgeons as part of either procedures or disease management. Attendees will hear didactic lectures, patient case reviews, debates, and interactive question and answer style programming to improve their understanding of five adjunctive tenets of vascular disease management.


Objectives
As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. 1) Discuss the medical and surgical techniques for the prevention and management of post-operative vascular complications
  2. 2) Review current and new dialysis access techniques and patient selection strategies
  3. 3) Understand the role of vascular surgeon in assisting other specialties with surgical procedures
  4. 4) Review medical and surgical management of patients with venous disease
  5. 5) Review management of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS) in athletes
  6. 6) Discuss current surgical techniques for the treatment of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS)
