Overview
Annual Cardiovascular Symposium will cover a broad range of medical and surgical treatment for patients with cardiovascular disease.  See Schedule (above) for topics to be covered.

Objectives
As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Establish comprehensive and inclusive treatment plan for Heart Failure patients
  2. Identify appropriate patients for advanced imaging to assist with healthcare treatment decisions
  3. Establish comprehensive and inclusive treatment plan for patients with arrhythmia
  4. Establish comprehensive and inclusive treatment plan for patients with valvular disease
  5. Review the role of complex Cardiothoracic surgery in cardiovascular disease management
  6. Establish a comprehensive and inclusive treatment plan for patient with peripheral vascular disease

In support of improving patient care, Hartford HealthCare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
  • Physicians: Hartford HealthCare designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 5.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.  
    •  ABIM MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 5.50 Medical Knowledge credits in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.  Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.  It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
  • Nurses: This activity is designated for a maximum of 5.50 ANCC contact hours.
