1. Formulate a patient-focused plan of care based on best practices and recent advances

This case-based conference creates a platform for Orthopedic Spine Surgeons and Neurosurgeons in the greater Hartford Area (includes HOCC and UCONN) to present an interesting or challenging case to the group (case as not occurred yet). The goal for each case is to develop a plan for evaluation and treatment with input from the attendees. Literature Review ensues after each case presentation. Ad hoc attendee’s specific to the case for discussion may also be added – for example Pain Management, Rheumatology or Vascular Surgery.

• Physicians: Hartford HealthCare designates this Live Activity activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.  
• Nurses: This activity is designated for a maximum of 1.00 ANCC contact hours.
• Other Learners: All other learners will receive a Certificate of Participation for 1.00 hours of education .  Consult your professional licensing board regarding the applicability and acceptance of certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.

Cancellations received in writing no less than 5 business days before the course will receive a full refund.  No refunds will be made for cancellations received after that date.  All refunds will be made in accordance with the procedures of the HHC Accounts Payable Department, and may take up to 60 days.  Please send cancellation requests to [email protected]hhchealth.org.

Hartford HealthCare reserves the right to cancel or postpone this program if necessary; in the event of cancellation, course fees will be fully refunded. We are not responsible for other costs incurred such as non-refundable airline tickets or hotel penalties.
